A warm holiday thanks to all of those who supported our 2022 Adopt-A-Family Holiday Program, along with our annual holiday food drive, which both benefit the adults and children who are staying at our domestic violence shelter.
With Adopt-A-Family, donors can select a family of any size: a single adult, a parent and child or multiple families.
Each year, the families in our shelter fill out a ‘wish list’ for the holidays that’s provided to the donors, which includes their ages along with three gift requests of their special interests and hobbies. For those looking for a way to help others, we hope they will help us make the holidays special for those staying in our safety shelter.
The Betty Griffin Center Holiday Food Drive offers another giving option for companies and individuals to support the families in our shelter.
Even with the holidays behind us, we’ll accept donations of any nonperishable food items or grocery store gift cards — and these can be dropped off or mailed to the Betty Griffin Outreach office, located at 2450 Old Moultrie Rd., Suite 202, in St. Augustine.
