‘Fashion For Action” Shopping Spree at Julington Square Thrift Shoppe/Fashion Show Fundraiser Set for Friday, June 18

Support the Betty Griffin Center and purchase your tickets now for our first annual two-part ‘Fashion for Action’ fundraising event on Friday, June 18.

The event kicks off with an after-hours shopping spree from 5 to 6 p.m. at the nonprofit’s Julington Square Thrift Shoppe, located at 445 FL-13 in the Fruit Cove area, where ticket holders can take part in a private shopping spree that includes special sales, raffle baskets, door prizes and a chance to win a $50 Thrift Shoppe Gift Card.

Then, from 6 to 8 p.m., the event moves to the nearby All About Ballroom, located at 778 FL-13 N in the St. Johns area, for a fashion show, which will be emceed by Melanie Lawson from The Morning Show on WJXT Channel 4 The Local Station / News4JAX. Wine and Hors D’oeuvres will be served during this part of the event.

“This will be a very fun event that will help us fund our mission, and we hope it will inspire more people to shop at our Betty Griffin Thrift Shoppes – which further supports us in helping the survivors we serve,” said Betty Griffin Center Executive Director Joyce Mahr. “Our models are all local volunteers, including many influential women and men in our community, who will model some unique finds from our thrift shoppes,”
