June 18 Fashion for Action Fundraiser a Success!

Sponsors, Guests Make June 18 ‘Fashion For Action” Fundraiser a Success

We want to thank all our sponsors and supporters for making our first annual two-part ‘Fashion for Action’ fundraising event on June 18 a great success!

We completely sold out tickets for the after-hours shopping spree held at the nonprofit’s Julington Square Thrift Shoppe, along with the fashion show held at the nearby All About Ballroom, located at 778 FL-13 N — which was emceed by Melanie Lawson from The Morning Show on WJXT Channel 4 The Local Station / News4JAX.

“It was a great event that not only helps fund our mission, but should also inspire more people to shop at our Betty Griffin Thrift Shoppes – which further supports us in helping the survivors we serve,” said Betty Griffin Center CEO Joyce Mahr.

All models were local volunteers, including many influential women and men in the community, each modeling some unique finds from the thrift shoppes,
