St. Augustine, Fla. (Aug. 1, 2024) – More than 50 area businesses became ‘ambassadors’ for Betty Griffin Center over the last year, providing in-kind and monetary donations to the nonprofit agency that provides emergency shelter and other support services for survivors of domestic and sexual assault in St. Johns County.
“Our success in making the community safe for everyone depends on the support and sponsorships from local businesses and organizations that truly help us provide life-saving services to assault survivors,” said Betty Griffin Center Development Director Kenlie Herring. “We just want to thank those individuals and businesses that made our ambassador program a success, and hope more businesses will join their ranks as the program enters its second year.”
Betty Griffin Center Ambassadors included Mastercraft Builder Group, KeHE Cares, Pearmid Properties LLC, Heidi and Bubba Jimmerson, Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation, Atlantic Automotive, Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Johns County, Hardage Giddens, Herbie Wiles Insurance, iVenture Solutions, Main Event, Walmart Foundation, Volkswagen St. Augustine, VyStar Credit Union and many more.
“This generosity from the community directly helps us to provide a safe haven where survivors can find peace, healing and hope – and is also helping us build an educated community around domestic and sexual abuse, which are issues that affect all of us,” Herring said.
Betty Griffin Center has many Ambassador levels, beginning at the $500 level. As an ambassador, people and companies are recognized at our annual events, in the agency’s marketing efforts and receive other benefits throughout the year.
