During the month of September, the Columbia Restaurant will host the 19th Annual Columbia Restaurant Community Harvest. Customers dining at the Columbia during September will be provided a ballot listing the names of several deserving non-profit organizations. Vote for us and a contribution equal to 5% of the food and beverage value will be donated to Betty Griffin House!!! The guest does not spend any additional money for this donation. Join us for the 11th Annual Taste of the Beach to Benefit Betty Griffin House hosted by the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the St. Augustine Beach Pier. Enjoy delicious food from over a dozen wonderful beach restaurants as they compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for appetizer, entree and dessert in addition to Judge’s Choice, Best Booth Display and People’s Choice. Bring the family and spend the day enjoying delicious food, great company and live music. Cash only event. Enjoy free parking and shuttle ride to the pier from City Hall.
A Day Without Violence Art Show will begin Tuesday, November 1st with an opening reception to begin at 8:15 a.m. in the Rotunda Gallery at the St. Johns County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View. For the past 15 years Betty Griffin House has worked with local students to produce the “A Day Without Violence” calendar. Artwork and poetry from students of all ages will be on display from November 1, 2016 to January 26, 2017.
The Betty Griffin House 3rd Annual Golf Classic will be on Friday, November 4th at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club. SAVE THE DATE – THE RUN FOR PEACE to benefit Betty Griffin House will be hosted on Saturday, April 8th, 2017. The 5k run/walk begins and ends at the St. Augustine Beach Pier. More details to follow.
