Thanks to you, we enjoyed a great turnout at the 12th Annual Run for Peace 5K on Saturday, April 4 at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier — with more than 550 runners and walkers taking part in the event, helping us raise thousands in funds for our nonprofit agency.
Ponte Vedra resident Bob Massaglia was the first place finisher, completing the 5K in just over 18 minutes, followed by Clayton Downer of Wheeling, West Virginia – with St. Augustine resident Ian Harper coming in in third place. All walkers and runners received a Run for Peace 5K t-shirt and finisher’s medal.
Also, thanks to all our sponsors for 2026: The Horschel Family Foundation, Campbell Plumbing and Mechanics, KeHE Cares, Cisco Systems, Inc., Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation, South State Bank, TruTechnology, Old Coast Pickleball, Ascension St. Vincent’s, and Hardage Giddens.
Race proceeds benefit the Betty Griffin Center, which provides shelter, counseling and support to domestic and sexual abuse survivors in St. Johns County.
