Thanks to all our sponsors, our models and more than 100 guests who made the sixth-annual ‘Fashion for Action’ fundraising event on June 11 a big success.
Hosted again by Hardage-Giddens St. Johns, the event proceeds benefit the Betty Griffin Center.
Also, a big call-out for Channel 4 WJXT-TV News Anchor Melanie Lawson — returning again as event emcee.
Fashion show models (pictured above), putting together their individual ‘fashion statements’ from clothing and accessories from our own Betty Griffin Thrift Shoppes, represented a wide range of local organizations including Sunrise and Sunset Rotary, St. Augustine Sailing Sisters (SASS), Genieva Church, Miss St Johns County, JAGS, Bayside Daycare and South State Bank.
Special thank yous go out to Papi Wines for its wine donation for the event, Wayne Fusco for photography and Geneva Presbyterian Church for its sponsorship.
