St. Augustine, Fla. (March 13, 2019) – For a third year, a group of high school students have organized the “Teens Take a Stand” Benefit Concert – set for 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) the Betty Griffin Center and Hubbard House.

The benefit concert features a variety of acts – including performers from the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Bolles High School, and Ponte Vedra High School.

Catalina Alers-Alers from 97.9 Kiss FM will be the special guest MC for the evening.

There will also be a silent auction featuring local restaurants, a custom leather jacket, golf foursomes, and much more.

Most importantly, a survivor from the Betty Griffin Center will share her personal story of abuse.

To date, Ponte Vedra High School’s Teens Take a Stand club has donated more than $45,000 in combined contributions to the Hubbard House and the Betty Griffin Center.

Ponte Vedra High School’s Teens Take A Stand is a high-school student run organization. Founded in 2016, the club has actively fundraised to support the Hubbard House and the Betty Griffin Center- both Northeast Florida nonprofit agencies that provide services to survivors of domestic and/or sexual abuse. It is the only high-school club in the Jacksonville area of its type. This year’s event is chaired by Ponte Vedra High School Seniors Grace Freedman, Carissa Clough, Charlotte Moore and Junior Chase Magnano with many other club members actively involved to ensure a successful program.

Tickets are available on-line at https://www.schoolpay.com/parent/mip/McRE at a cost of $10 for students and $20 for adults.

The Teens Take A Stand Club is grateful for any support from businesses or individuals for the upcoming concert. Donations can also be made on-line at https://www.schoolpay.com/pay/for/Teens-Take-A–Stand-Donations/SiNzeT?p=yes.
